ALLTEL Communications signs
new 5-year lease in downtown Wilkes-Barre

A downtown Wilkes-Barre business considered by business
and community leaders to be a huge asset recently signed
a new 5-year lease that keeps them in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
ALLTEL’s Wilkes-Barre facility employs 200 people,
as well as 65 people in nearby Dallas, Pa.
Andrew Moreau, spokesman for the Little Rock, Arkansas-based
ALLTEL, said, “It’s a great location for us
and we’re happy to be staying.”
The five-year lease takes effect in Feb. 2004.
ALLTEL is a communications company with more than 12
million customers and nearly $8 billion in annual revenue.
