Patrick Levandoski has been promoted to Branch Manager from within the company, following 17 years of employment. Pat started at Leggett and Platt as the Quality Manager responsible for installing the Quality Assurances programs. Mr. Levandoski has a proven record of being an honest and direct employee and supervisor, willing and able to work with anyone to accomplish the task at hand.
As Mr. Levandoski has worked in manufacturing since the age of 18, starting his career as a general laborer and exhibiting strong work ethic, his job became the path to his career. Due to this experience and having worked in every area of Leggett & Platt's Salem Boulevard facility, his ability to understand both the corporate needs and the employees' challenges in manufacturing, is hopeful that this will bring a new sense of pride for employees.
With Mr. Levandoski's promotion the position of Production Manager needed to be filled and again, Leggett & Platt hired within, moving Randy Swackhammer, who has been employed with the company for 11 years into that position. Randy has previously worked as Superintendent and brings to the table knowledge of the production processes along with his over 25 years in a manufacturing environment. Randy is instrumental to help develop the new supervisors hired from within the company. Leggett & Platt has great faith and dedication to its employees and is creating career paths through employment.
Last but not least, is Sarah Hagerty, joining Leggett and Platt as the Human Resources/Safety Manager in June of 2021 replacing Shari German who has been with Leggett and Platt for over 23 years. Shari has transferred to another Leggett and Platt facility in Michigan. Sarah Hagerty comes to the company with 18 years of human resource and safety experience. “Growth is always an exciting time for any business, and I am excited to be a part of this team,” said Sarah Hagerty.
Ms. Hagerty is excited in seeing the progress that this new team has been able to create in an extremely short time, which includes increasing the starting pay rate to $18.50/hour, engaging with B.I.D.A. to create a strategic plan that can develop processes for efficiency and increase their contribution to the national strategy of their corporate office. This team has the chemistry needed to get there and have a shared vision for the future of the company and the employees of the facility.
The new team along with the long-standing Maintenance, Quality, Traffic, and Office Managers are committed to employee work-life satisfaction and growth overall as a branch. Leggett and Platt is looking to expand their current team of employees and are now hiring outside applicants.
