Borton-Lawson is pleased to announce that Frank Joanlanne has assumed his role as the company's President & CEO. Mr. Joanlanne joined our Board of Directors in 2009 and became President in 2012. He also leads Borton-Lawson's sister company, Precise Visual Technologies.
“Frank was the obvious choice to succeed Chris Borton and lead us into our next phase,” Patrick Endler, AIA, Chairman of the Borton-Lawson Board of Directors, said. “This is a natural transition and a continuation of an evolution started by Chris some 30 years ago.”
Together, Mr. Borton, who founded the company in 1988, and Mr. Joanlanne have spent the past 14 months meeting with employees, clients and partners to ensure a seamless transition.
“Although there is a change in leadership, our journey is continuing on a path we charted many years ago,” Mr. Joanlanne said. “We have tremendous people here and take pride in ensuring a strong employee culture. My plan is to build upon these strengths and elevate Borton-Lawson from good to great. We will continue to complement our people by leveraging technology to provide clients with forward-thinking and innovative solutions. We take a partnership approach with clients on both a local and national level to provide high-value consultative solutions. While a Pennsylvania-based business, this approach resulted in projects in 23 states throughout 2017.”
“I am so grateful to have worked with Chris,” Mr. Joanlanne continued. “We are fortunate that he will continue to lend his expertise and serve as a mentor to us moving forward. He gave us all something very special to continue and push forward. Whatever decisions we make, we will always hold true to the values on which Chris founded and built Borton-Lawson.”
Mr. Borton will continue to serve on the Board and in an executive advisory capacity. He will also help continue to drive community engagement efforts and assist local government leaders in optimizing our infrastructure.
“My goal when I started this company was to leverage technology to create a firm that was both successful and sustainable,” Mr. Borton said. “Frank is someone who continues to realize and invest in that vision. His forward-thinking approach, combining engineering expertise with the latest technologies, will allow Borton-Lawson to ascend to new heights and continue to transcend geographic boundaries.”
