Cintas Expands in CenterPoint, Adding 65 Jobs in Luzerne County

Pittston, PA - Cintas Corporation, one of the first tenants in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park, is expanding its National Accounts Receivable Center for their Fire Protection Division. Due to the expansion, Cintas has relocated its offices to a flex building developed by Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services located at 339 Enterprise Way in Pittston Township.

“Cintas is pleased to be a part of the Northeastern Pennsylvania business community,” said Maria Scagliotti, Director of the Cintas National Accounts Fire Center. “With the expansion of our National Accounts Receivable Center, Cintas will continue to provide job opportunities for area residents while providing high-level service to our customers.”

Cintas has another location at 114 Centerpoint Blvd. in CenterPoint Commerce and Trade Park East, but an additional center was needed due to the growth of its fire division, said Maria Scagliotti, director of the Cintas National Accounts Fire Center.

“We outgrew that space and moved into this building,” Scagliotti said. “We're growing at such a rapid rate.” In seven years, Scagliotti said Cintas has grown from 10 employees to 50, including five supervisors. Adding 65 more employees will more than double the size of the center. The goal is to have more than 100 employees in the building on Enterprise Way in the next five years, she said.

The Cintas Fire National Accounts Receivable Center is responsible for contacting existing customers to obtain payments for services rendered. Since 2011, the National Accounts Receivable Center has created 50 new jobs for the area. With continued growth over the next five to seven years, the center is projected to hire an additional 65 employee-partners which will more than double the current size of the center.

Mericle Vice President Bill Jones coordinated the real estate transaction along with commercial real estate firm CBRE. He said the Cintas brand is recognized worldwide and its investment in CenterPoint further solidifies the park as one of the premier business destinations in Pennsylvania. “Cintas' decision to first locate in CenterPoint and now expand here speaks volumes about the park, the quality of the region's workforce, and the pro-business attitude in Pittston Township,” he said. “We enjoyed customizing our flex space to the company's exact needs and we look forward to having Cintas as our tenant for many more years.”

Michelle Mikitsh, executive vice president at the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce, said the chamber has been working on workforce development and the creation of more jobs at Cintas is “fantastic.”

“We're excited that there are companies like Cintas presenting more and more opportunities,” Mikitish said.

Jobs will be open for accounts receivable representatives and interested applicants can apply online at www.cintas.com
