A Scranton resident who previously worked for U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and former Gov. Tom Wolf will serve as Lackawanna County’s next economic development director.
Majority Commissioners Bill Gaughan and Matt McGloin announced Tuesday the appointment of Kristin A. Magnotta, touting her extensive public and private sector economic development experiences. She replaces former county planning and economic development director Brenda Sacco, who commissioners dismissed in January.
A University of Pittsburgh graduate, Magnotta joins the county after a brief stint as vice president of storytelling, strategic marketing, brand and community relations at the Wright Center for Community Health.
