Forbo Flooring celebrated the grand opening of its new Flotex Production Facility on May 5 at 18 Maplewood Dr. in the Humboldt Industrial Park.
Hazleton has served as the headquarters for Forbo’s North American operations since 1989, but the company’s roots date back to 1899 with the production of linoleum in The Netherlands. Over the past 125+ years, Forbo has expanded its global production to include vinyl, textile and entrance flooring.
Flotex marks Forbo’s first North American production facility, incorporating state-of-the-art digital print technology with Flotex flocked flooring to provide enhanced service and design capabilities to our customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Flotex will employ approximately 90 people.
