A Missouri-based cart manufacturing and distribution company bought a former automotive parts distribution building in the Scott Technology Park for nearly $6 million.
National Cart expects to open the facility April 1, employing approximately 12 people to start, according to an email from the company. The building will manufacture and distribute material-handling carts, according to the email.
The site “just seemed to be the right building layout and size” in a community that fits its mission, the company said, explaining it purchased the property to support its growing customer base in the northeastern United States.
