09.24.2018

Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, PA - Penn's Northeast Member, The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance hosted its premier international trade event “Bringing the World to Northeastern Pennsylvania” on Sept. 21 at The Woodlands Inn, Wilkes-Barre.

Businesses from NEPA's seven county service area - Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne - were invited to meet with Pennsylvania's 15 Authorized Trade Representatives from Australia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Israel, Mexico, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, covering 52 international markets.

There were 26 companies registered to attend this fantastic event which in return created over 100 one-on-one meetings between 15 international PA authorized trade representatives.

Authorized trade representatives met with businesses from Northeastern Pennsylvania. They discuss and review information from businesses about their products and services, existing domestic and international markets, trade opportunities, problems in specific markets and the level of assistance needed to be successful. They will also provide market intelligence and counseling and help develop a plan for additional assistance. The businesses then have the opportunity to follow up on the plan and request further assistance from the Trade Representatives, who will provide in-time information and market assistance.

A business who seeks assistance from the trade representatives will find it has the resources of an additional staff of 15 marketing representatives from around the world to help develop international markets and generate international sales.
