BelleMarque LLC, a national producer of napkin products, recently expanded their Hazleton location. BelleMarque LLC was originally located in two separate spaces in CAN-DO's Valmont Industrial Park and recently opened their new single location. The new space is 60,000 square feet, a significant increase from the previous 35,000 square feet combined space in the dual locations.
BelleMarque General Manager Alec Marcalus explained their business' success was a major contributing factor to the decision. “We needed more space to accommodate our growing business, including more room for production, warehousing and employees,” he said, “The new facility has more of everything we need: dock doors, space for employees and more. “
Currently, more than 40 employees are employed by the company, and management anticipates additional hiring.
Hazleton is the only location for the BelleMarque company. Marcalus also noted that a main reason for locating their single location in Northeastern Pennsylvania is the support they've received in the area. “CAN DO has been a very cooperative and constructive partner in identifying and getting us settled here in terms of our building space, our location and our integration into the community, he said. “They have been very helpful in every way and have been a key element to our company's decision to be located in the Hazleton area.”
Vice President Joseph Lettiere explained the expansion project illustrates the economic development organization's relationships with industries in Greater Hazleton. “Our 58 years of economic development experience gives us the ability to assist the companies in a variety of ways.”
BellMarque, which was founded in 2009, creates paper products including napkins, jumbo fold towels, and multifold towels. The products are made from 100% recycled materials and are free of chlorine bleach.
