Scott Twp., Lackawanna County, PA - Governor Josh Shapiro announced that health and wellness manufacturer Premier Brands of America will invest $15 million to establish its first Pennsylvania manufacturing facility in Scott Township, bringing 58 new full-time jobs to the region over the next three years.

The company will redevelop the former Scranton Times-Tribune printing facility at 45 Commerce Drive, transforming the site into a modern production center that will support both current product demand and future growth.

The Commonwealth is supporting the project with a funding package totaling nearly $4 million, including a Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan, a Pennsylvania First grant, and workforce training support through WEDnetPA.

This investment reflects continued momentum across Northeastern Pennsylvania, as companies choose the region for its strategic location, skilled workforce, and strong business support network.

“Projects like this are bringing new life to existing sites and creating meaningful job opportunities for our communities,” said Rick Siger, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Premier Brands of America manufactures a wide range of health and wellness products, including nationally recognized brands in foot care, first aid, and skin care, with distribution across both domestic and international markets. The new facility will enhance the company’s manufacturing capacity and strengthen its supply chain.

“We’re proud to invest in Lackawanna County as we continue to grow,” said Larry Page. “This new location allows us to better serve our customers while creating quality jobs in the region.”

Regional partners, including NEPA Alliance and Scranton Chamber of Commerce, played key roles in supporting the project and facilitating access to financing and resources.

The project represents another win for the region’s manufacturing sector, reinforcing Lackawanna County’s position as a competitive location for business investment and long-term economic growth.
