Sekisui Polymer Innovation, LLC (SPI) recently purchased an industrial building on a 56.63 acre site in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The building will be the third manufacturing facility for the thermoplastic sheet manufacturing company. The company's headquarters is also located in Bloomsburg, the third location is in Holland, Michigan. The building is located at 4411 Old Berwick Road. With this purchase, the company plans to bring an additional 200 jobs to northeastern Pennsylvania over the next five years.
The property features a 6” reinforced concrete floor; concrete block over heavy structral steel frame and insulated metal panel walls; firestone single-ply membrane roof; columns spaced 30' X 40' and 45' x 45'; ceiling heights to 26'; T-8 fluorescent lighting; wet sprinkler system; approximately 10,500 sq feet of office space, 16 dock doors with levers and seals; two drive-in doors and parking for 480 vehicles.
Steve Phillips, Executive Director of the Berwick Industrial Development Association, says this purchase is positive news for the area, “This is terrific economic news for our communities. BIDA is very pleased a major local employer has chosen to expand here. SEKISUI SPI has a history of sustaining jobs and has earned their stellar reputation as an employer and corporate citizen. This expansion will add tremendously to employment growth opportunities in the next five years and more.”
SPI plans to create promising manufacturing careers in Bloomsburg. In addition, the company hopes to create partnerships with educational institutions to provide STEM initiatives and apprenticeships. These plans are in the circle of the company's attention in fostering future generations in manufacturing.

The 370,000 square foot single story building is located just off Exit 242 on Interstate 80 and only two miles from company headquarters on Low Street.
