Wayne County, PA - Wayne Tomorrow! is a new way of operating with Wayne County in which many, diverse organizations are working together to support programs and projects that ultimately strengthen the communities.

By working together, Wayne Tomorrow! create opportunities for community and economic growth and are transforming Wayne County!



Wayne Tomorrow! is a collaboration of many entities within the County who have developed a shared vision and strategic development plan for the future. Workgroups focus on Agriculture, Business & Economic Development, Education & Workforce Development, Marketing & Communication, Quality of Life, and Sustainability. A few projects examples are:





  • Arduino Day

    In 2017, the Wayne County Stourbridge Project hosted its first Arduino Day, bringing together real world maker and those who want to be for an educational and entertaining forum celebrating the Arduino, an open-source, low-cost prototyping board.


  • Digital Community Web Development

    The concept of the Digital Community is predicated on connection - connecting people with events, activities and the broader community.


  • Economic Development Plan for Agriculture

    The county has been invited to submit a formal grant application to help fund an agriculture economic development study that will consider traditional land-use planning and other types of infrastructure planning as well.


  • Prototyping Lab

    As part of the Stourbridge Project Business Incubator, a prototyping lab including a 3D printer and other equipment has been established.


  • Stourbridge Project Business Incubator

    Wayne County and the Wayne Economic Development Corporation launched The Stourbridge Project in 2016, gradually creating three different tiers of support for developing businesses.


  • Waymart Natural Gas Project

    Several agencies are working on an expansion of the natural gas service offered in Waymart as an economic development boost.


  • Wayne County Economic Growth Fund

    This fund provides grants to for-profit entities for the purpose of undertaking activities that will encourage and support economic growth and job creation within Wayne County, PA. The program is administered by WEDCO on behalf of the County Commissioners.


  • Wayne Parks & Recreation Inventory Brochure

    In 2015, Wayne Tomorrow and the Wayne County Department of Planning / GIS produced a comprehensive map and inventory of recreational facilities in the county.​
