Northeastern Pennsylvania -
Williams is committed to working with project contractors to encourage them to buy as many goods and services as possible from local businesses. The company has launched the WillShop Local app to help connect Atlantic Sunrise workers with local businesses and services - all from their mobile devices.
The Atlantic Sunrise pipeline project is a nearly $3 billion energy infrastructure project to expand access to affordable Marcellus natural gas and would have significant positive impacts on local economies where construction occurs and beyond. Development is expected to increase economic activity by $1.6 billion in project regions and estimated to support more than 8,000 jobs.
As Williams move closer to construction of Atlantic Sunrise, they wanted to create a new way to connect communities with the economic benefits that come with pipeline construction.
Their contractors and crews will need to access many products and services, including housing, restaurants, rental equipment, waste management, fuel, office supplies and more.
To connect Atlantic Sunrise contractors with local businesses, services and products, they have created the WILLShop Local App! This new smartphone app will allow the construction workforce to easily find and use local businesses and services in the project area.
Types of businesses and services include:
• Housing (hotels, apartments, campgrounds, RV parks)
• Restaurants
• Grocery/convenience stores
• Fire-retardant clothing
• Laundry services
• Rental equipment
• Restoration/landscaping services
• Welding supplies
• Waste management and disposal
• Office supplies, furniture and equipment
• Construction materials (fencing, gravel, straw, timber mats)
• Security
• Fuel
• Water trucks
• Concrete services
• Buses/transportation
• Auto repair
• Drain tile installation and repair

The WillShop Local app is an easy and convenient way to connect pipeline workers to local businesses that offer the materials and services these contractors will seek during construction, helping drive local economic activity along the project footprint.
